This watch is very comfortable on your wrist. It is very well made and you can tell the quality of the materials used to make this watch.
The strap is the easiest to attach of any watch I have worn because of the shape. The strap is in a curve shape that keeps the ends close together when you are attaching it to your wrist. The one disadvantage would be that you cannot lay the watch flat on your desk because the curve is permanent but that does not bother me because his does make it more comfortable around your wrist.
It has its own software, so it does not share the generic software like some less expensive watches do. It has firmware updates when needed and I do not think the generic software would be able to update the firmware on the different watches that pairs with it.
As you can see from the picture, this watch gets BRIGHTER in direct sunlight, as opposed to a lot of other watches, like the other one in the picture, that are very hard to see in direct sunlight.
Indoors, instead of having a “Raise to Wake” function, this watch goes to a dimmer, power saving mode so it never shuts completely off. You just tap the top button on the right once to brighten it. That is the a very nice feature in my opinion.
I really like having the compass function that I have not seen on the other watches I have had!
I like it has a “Shortcuts” option in its settings section on the app. I was able to put “Heart” to the top and “Steps” second on its list. You access the shortcuts by swiping the main screen to the left.
This leads me into why I deducted one STAR:
When you access anything in the application list by hitting the top right button once to wake it up and hit it again to get to the list of applications, you then must scroll down pages until you find the application you want to use. So, to get to “Music,” you must go down 4 or so pages until you find it. No big deal on that but the problem is that after a few seconds of inactivity, the screen automatically goes back to the clock screen and when you click back on the top right button, it will not be at the “Music” app, but it goes back to the very top of the list, which is “Activity Data”!! So, If I am playing my mp3s using my phone’s “Samsung Music” app, and I want to turn up or down the volume or skip a song, I must start ALL OVER and find “Music” again!! That is super frustrating!! It should do what some other watches do and keep it on the app I was on last when it goes back to the clock screen!! Or let me remove one of the “Shortcuts” I do not use and add one not on the list, like “Music.” But you can not add to the shortcut list.
